Director Position Overview
Happy Days Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and organized leader to oversee daily operations, support staff, and help guide program growth. This role blends administration, team leadership, and hands-on classroom support to ensure a high-quality experience for children and families.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with state licensing requirements

Manage staffing, including scheduling, hiring, training, and supervision

Support classrooms regularly, working alongside teachers and students

Partner with staff on child development assessments and family communication

Maintain program quality standards, including Parent Aware Accreditation

Coordinate staff development and provide ongoing coaching and support

Build relationships with families and serve as a key point of communication

Assist with grant opportunities and maintain required documentation

Collaborate with the Board of Directors and provide regular program updates
Required Qualifications
-
Be a graduate of a high school or hold an equivalent diploma attained through successful completion of the commissioner of education-selected high school equivalency test

Have at least 1,040 hours of paid or unpaid staff supervision experience
-
Have at least nine quarter credits or 90 hours earned in any combination of accredited courses in staff supervision, human relations, and child development.

Be at least 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in early childhood education, program management, or a related field

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities

Meets Minnesota requirements for staff supervision and early childhood training

Meets lead teacher qualifications as outlined by the MN Department of Children, Youth, and Families: https://www.revisor.mn.gov/rules/9503/
Schedule​

Full-time, Monday–Friday, year-round

Paid holidays, plus PTO and sick time
